Dr Angus Ross BVSc (Hons 1)(USyd) MBA MRCVS.
Veterinary Partner.

Dr Angus Ross is a second generation veterinarian and graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours.
Alongside Dr Jamie Geddes, he pioneered the usage of autologous stem cell therapies in small animals in Australia. Using the facilities available at Ku-Ring-Gai Vet Hospital, he has been able to rapidly develop the regenerative stem cell therapy programme to become available to pets all over Australia. He has worked extensively on enabling an efficient, minimally invasive and minimally painful procedure to allow pets to improve their quality of life with minimal disruption.
He also has a keen interest in nephrology and pioneered the application of haemodialysis (kidney dialysis) for pets in Australia, with the kind assistance of Fresenius Medical Care. He also has a keen interest in ultrasound, CT, cardiology and oncology.
Dr Ross has a ginger Spoodle, "Henry Doodle", who enjoys running the Ross household and playing games with Dr Ross’s daughters.
Dr Ross is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Veterinary Orthopaedic Society.

Dr James W Geddes BVSc (USyd) CMAVA
Veterinary Partner.
Dr Jamie Geddes graduated from the University of Sydney in 1996. He joined the practice in 2001 and became a partner in 2004. Jamie started a Masters of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery with Murdoch University in 2002 and was awarded chartered membership of the Australian Veterinary Assocation in 2005
He has significant veterinary interests in arthritis, surgery, diagnostic imaging and haematology.
He has been heavily involved in the Regenerative stem cell programme through his research determining the best methods in which to translate the biotechnical data and scientific research into a safe and effective clinical application.
As a little known fact, in 1998, Dr Geddes was working in an Elephant Breeding Centre in Nepal.
In life outside KVH, Dr Geddes enjoys spending time with his daughters, playing frisbee, cycling and surfing. We hear he’s also not a bad guitar player. He has a lovely Burmese cat called Mufasa.
Dr Geddes is a chartered member of the Australian Veterinary Association.

Dr Jill M Nash BVSc (Hons 2) (USyd) MACVSc MVetClinStud.
Dr Jill Nash graduated from Veterinary Science at Sydney University with second-class honours in 1990. Having completed a residency and Masters degree in small animal surgery at Sydney University, as well as gaining membership by examination to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination, Dr Nash works as an expert surgical consultant at Ku-Ring-Gai veterinary Hospital.
Dr Nash has worked in referral surgical practice in both Australia and the UK and has a wealth of experience in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Her key interests in in tendon and joint repair.
Dr Nash has a very busy life outside of work keeping up with her 3 delightful boys (1 husband included).

Dr Angus J Hayes BVSc (USyd)
Dr Angus Hayes is also a second generation veterinarian and graduated from Sydney University in 2002. He has worked in practice in the UK whereby he gained extensive training and experience in using Acupuncture as a small animal therapy. In 2008 Dr Hayes commenced a masters of Veterinary Studies at Murdoch University WA.
He has a keen interest in acupuncture, alternative therapies, diagnostic imaging and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work he is a newly married man who still gets the time to play the odd game of touch football with friends.

Dr Miles Alexander BSc (USyd) BVSc (USyd)
Dr Alexander has a double degree in Science and Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney.
He has extensive experience in practice management and animal care and brings with him a depth in general case management that is hard to find. His family have been associated with the practice for over 30 years.
His key interests are in orthopaedics and critical care and outside of work he has two delightful children and enjoys spending as much time with them as he can.
Dr Alexander is currently studying towards a membership by examination with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists.

Dr Jennifer Smith BVSc (Hons 2)(Syd)

Dr Smith graduated from the University of Sydney, with second calss honours, in the same graduating class as Dr Alexander. She worked in the United Kingdom in mixed practice in the county of Devon, living the “all creatures great and small” dream with diverse case loads from the routine to pocket pets to Deer and Bison. She has also managed a mid sized small animal practice and worked in a multimodal small animal specialist hospital.
Dr Smith has a passion for pets and a special interest in soft tissue surgery, cardiology, endocrinology and oncology. She undertook further study through the University of Massey Veterinary School in 2008. Her broad experience, compassionate manner and technical skills ensures tha her patients receive the utmost care.
Dr Smith is newly married and enjoys any outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking and horse riding in Hunter Valley and in her spare time she dabbles in art. She has a cheeky cat, Charlie, who is a stray that was saved from deaths door

Dr Sarah Warren BVSc (Merit) (Syd)
Dr Sarah Warren graduated from the University of Sydney in 2008. In her final year of veterinary school, she was placed at Ku-Ring-Gai Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary intern and was immediately offered a full time position on graduation.
Dr Warren is a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic veterinarian with a rapidly developing skills in diagnostics and soft tissue surgery. She recently performed a complicated open surgical bladder procedure on Dr Ross's prized spoodle "Henry" with great success. The Ross family are thrilled with Henry's progress thanks to Sarah.
Dr Warren has two rescued pound dogs called Elmo and Lola. Lola is the naughty one.

Dr Penelope Kingston BVSc (Hons 1) (Syd)

Penelope Kingston graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 with first class honours. Following her childhood dreams and having grown up on a working farm in Cootamundra she started her career in mixed animal practice.
She has developed a keen interest in more advanced surgeries and has moved her focus to small animals to allow her to develop this area. Her other areas of interest are gastro-enterology including endoscopy and ultrasonography. She owns a "real" dog- Hunter, a Hunterway Cross and a warmblood horse call Kip.

Practice manager
Johanne Tobin BEc LLB
Mrs Tobin plays a key role at Ku-Ring-Gai Veterinary Hospital as practice manager. As a qualified mediator, ex lawyer, past deputy mayor of Ku-Ring-Gai council and mother of 3, she brings an enormous depth of experience to the practice.
Johanne provides the skills and nurturing care to enable the veterinary staff to be able to go about their work with pride and professionalism.
Johanne has a spoodle called "Bailey" and loves to escape to the outdoors whether it be mountain biking, kayaking or bushwalking.
