Public Education Series- Regeneus Animal Health and Northern Sydney Dog Training Club
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing relevant and up to date information for pet owners, Ku-Ring-Gai Vet Hospital has recently undertaken two public education seminars
Dogs New South Wales:
Along with the science team at Regeneus Animal Health, an information seminar was given for members of Dogs New South Wales, the states key canine organisation. The evening was well attended and discussed the advancements made in stem cell therapies in animals and humans. Ku-Ring-Gai Vet Hospital pioneered stem cell transplantation in pets in collaboration with Regeneus, which lead to the development of “Adicell”, an advanced treatment for canine arthritis.
Ku-Ring-Gai Vet Hospital continues to offer free clinical assessments for dogs with advanced arthritis to determine if Adicell therapy is appropriate. Please
contact us if you have any questions about arthritis in pets or Adicell therapy.
NSDTC (Northern Suburbs Dog Training Club)
Anxiety was the topic and a lively discussion it was. The seminar discussed the ways in which dogs react to expected and unexpected situations and provided an understanding of the normal behavioural response of anxiety as well as the situations in which it become problematic. The seminar covered the causes, clinical signs, long term side effects, treatments and prevention aspects of anxiety.
The veterinary staff are trained in all aspects of animal behavioural issues, don’t hesitate to
contact us if you have any questions.
