As one of the larger businesses within the local community, we recognise the need, and feel a responsibility, to provide assistance to the community where we can. We are always keen to be active within the community and we have a long standing history of assisting the community and it’s clubs and community groups with fairs, education and fundraisers.

We have provided assistance to:
- the North Turramurra Bowling club annual fundraisers
- Wahroonga football club fundraisers
- Corpus Christi School
- Asquith primary school
- Knox Grammar School Pipe Band
- RSCPA
- Rotary Clubs of Australia
Ku-Ring-Gai veterinary hospital undertakes a significant degree of pro bono work for sick and injured animals, year in year out. This work includes assisting native Australian wildlife, birds, and sick and injured strays. Last year we undertook many tens of thousand of dollars of pro bono work for such cases whose care included x-rays, CAT scans, orthopaedic and heart surgery, hospitalisation and medication. This continues the philosophy within the hospital that all creatures great and small are entitled to the best of care.
Education and Employment
We also run school education programs through the Australian Veterinary Association's Pet Pep program where we undertake regular visits to primary school age children to provide education on animals care and handling to promote a safe and caring interaction between pets and children.
Regular hospital tours for primary school children and community groups, including Girl Guides and Scouts, are offered to allow children to get an understanding of how a veterinary hospital operates.
As an accredited training hospital for the University of Sydney's Veterinary faculty, we help train the next generation of veterinarians. The senior veterinary students undertake an internship in clinical small animal practice in our hospital and are able to observe, assist and undertake, on a supervised basis, certain aspects of veterinary care that they will be performing when they graduate. We also provide nursing education and training for TAFE students.
As a long standing local business we provide employment for a variety of groups including job support and the semi-retired. Our youth employment program has been around for many years and has provided employment to many local youngsters. We also employ a diverse range of veterinary, agriculture and animal science students to assist us with our work, which in turn assists them by providing a practical application for their studies.
